How to make usefull mini table saw. 3D printed hobby saw. In this video I will show you how to make a small table saw with a 3D printer. A very useful and powerful saw for hobby work.
I designed this table saw because I needed a small and handy saw. The result was satisfactory for me. He works very well. I hope it will be useful for you too.
I printed the body of the saw with PLA filament. The motor mount can be printed with PLA or PETG, ABS. If PLA is used, an insulating spacer will be required so that it is not affected by the temperature of the engine. It part is available between files. And this piece should be printed with PETG or ABS so that it can withstand the heat.
You can change the motor position to tension the timing belt as needed. There is a distance of 4.6mm for this.
The saw blade I used is 60mm in diameter and 0.8mm thick. For cutting delicate materials it may be better to use a 0.6mm thick saw blade.
I used GT2 20T and GT2 40T pulleys. These are aluminum pulleys. But optionally, I added the files of the 3D print pulley I designed myself. You can use them too. Of course, 3D printing pulleys do not last very long, but you can choose to use them because they will cost very cheap. They can be used by changing as they wear out.
In order to clean the dust accumulated in the box, it can be connected to the vacuum cleaner by using the hose printed with Flexible filament (TPU).
If you do not want to use the hose, the cover can be used to prevent dust from escaping. It is also necessary to print the cover with flexible filament TPU. Because it needs to be flexible in order to be driven into its slot.
